Signs and Symptoms:

  • vision is cloudy and blurred
  • severe pain
  • nausea and vomiting
  • pupil dilated
Nursing Care:
  • this is an emergency so the patient must be seen and treated by the eye specialist physician as soon as possible to avoid blindness
  • carry out medication and other doctor's order accurately
  • keep patient on bed rest
